In my project for ECS 100, I wanted to give the survivors of the residential schools a voice. In order to do this, I decided to use a Medicine Wheel to show the effects of what was experienced through an Indigenous way of knowing. I also included quotes from survivors because I feel that it is the only way to truly get the full picture of their experience and the true emotions that come with it. I hope that my visual will encourage others to realize their responsibility to educate themselves and read more into what actually happened in residential schools.
