Who Am I?

Hi everyone! My name is Chandria Yang. I am a student at the University of Regina working towards a dual degree in Kinesiology and Education, majoring in Physical Education and minoring in Health Education.

Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I always wanted to be an educator. I would always play “teacher” and teach my dolls and even my little brother in my basement classroom. However, I did not start my journey right in Education. I was in Kinesiology for two years before I decided that I wanted to be a teacher. I realized this when I got into coaching. Coaching ringette has changed my life and has instilled in me that I was meant to be an educator. The relationships I have created with my athletes, is something that I will strive to do with my future students.

All through my life, my family has always been my biggest supporters and have encouraged me to follow my dreams and do what makes me happy. By choosing education as my career, I truly believe that it will be extremely rewarding and will make me happy for the rest of my life. I enjoy teaching others my passions, and as an educator I hope to help my students find what they love and encourage them to be the best people they can be.

I cannot wait to learn more throughout my journey. I want to become the best educator I can be so I am able to change the lives of my future students and have a lasting impact on them as my past coaches, teachers and role models have with me!
